The CIRCLES City Tour concluded its engaging stop in Mazara del Vallo with resounding success! The event took place at the BlueSeaLand gathering, and our outreach efforts at the CIRCLES stand proved to be both informative and well-received.
We are thrilled to share that we distributed approximately 120 kits to visitors, with the majority hailing from Mazara. However, we were delighted to extend our reach to individuals from various national and European cities.
Our diverse audience, spanning a wide range of ages and interests, demonstrated an inherent curiosity about the world of microbes. It was a fascinating experience to engage with people, challenge preconceptions about microorganisms, and convey their integral role in our daily lives – reassuringly emphasizing that the majority are indeed “good” microbes.
As an exciting development, we collaborated with approximately 15 high school students from Mazara, all actively participating in specialized microbiology classes. Their enthusiasm and collaboration greatly enriched our activities. These students are now actively involved in distributing the remaining kits to their peers, thereby amplifying our impact and ensuring a broader sampling from the city of Mazara.
The CIRCLES City Tour in Mazara del Vallo not only disseminated knowledge about microorganisms but also fostered a sense of community engagement and scientific curiosity. We look forward to building on this success as we continue our journey to promote awareness and understanding of the microscopic wonders that shape our world.
